2012 CSA Announcement

With the blink of an eye November has arrived. There’s a crispness to the air, the days are getting shorter and the end of the growing season is upon us. We have enjoyed feeding you, your friends, and your family for the last 20 weeks. And while there are still five weeks left of the 2011 CSA, it’s time to think about 2012.

The 2012 CSA will remain the same. Each week you will receive approximately 9-11 items in your share, with roughly 7-8 vegetables and 2-3 fruits. The share will last from mid-June until early December, and we will continue to offer Snowville Creamery and Cafe Brioso coffee as supplements to your share.

We have many bi-weekly and half-share members who will be looking for partners again in 2012, and we are happy to help make those connections.

Visit our online store and process your order today. Payment will be due in full no later than March 1, 2012. You are welcome to select supplements now, or wait until the start of the season. Also, you are able to select a delivery location; however, they will not be confirmed until the spring. And lastly, if you are splitting a share, we will still need to process your payment manually. Please email us at farm@waywardseed.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible. We believe the checkout process is a simple one, but if you have any questions or suggestions please contact us.

Thanks again for being part of the Wayward Seed family!

Seriously!

Forget the chill in the air–this weekend we’ll be warming things up with Mr. Jim Budros. Join us at the North Market Harvest Festival this Saturday from 8am-12pm, where we’ll be grillin’ calçots and enjoying them the way the Spaniards do! Calçots look like small leeks, are milder and less bulbous than onions, and  grilled and dipped in romesco sauce. Delicious and perfect–you don’t want to miss it!

After you’ve warmed up with a taste at our stand, be sure to stick around. There’s no shortage of fun at the North Market this weekend, as we celebrate the growing season with the annual Harvest Festival. For the full event schedule, click here.

We hope to see you there!
